

Carlos Alberto Vargas was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on May 3, 1978, to Rosalbina and Luis Vargas. On February 24, 2023, he passed away unexpectedly in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of forty-four.
He grew up in Bayshore, New York and graduated from Brentwood high school in 1996. His main passion was art, achieving an associate degree from The Katherine Gibbs Art Institute in Melville Long Island. He went on to become a successful barber. In this profession, his artistic abilities made him stand out from the rest. Once clients had their first cut with him, they rarely ever turned to another.
At the age of twenty-six, Carlos married Carolina Ordonez, and went on to have 2 beautiful children. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son. He demonstrated the love for his family through his countless works of art.
He is survived by his parents; his children, Veronica (23) and Carlos Jacob Vargas (18) residing in New York. Carlos is predeceased by his siblings Jeanette and Jerry Villa, Marisol, Luis, Wanda, Jose, and Angelina Vargas spread throughout Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New York and Panama.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral mass for Carlos will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church, 3619 Toledo Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32217.
