this world to be with her Lord on November 10,
2013 after an extended illness. She leaves behind a
trove of memories to be treasured by all who have
known her since her birth April 26, 1927 in
Philadelphia, PA. She was predeceased by her
beloved husband, William Gustav Carlson (Bill),
her eldest daughter Linda Gunn, and her daughterinlaw,
Jackie Carlson.
Millie spent her entire adult life dedicated to her
family, which she loved above all else but her
Catholic faith. Her children, other family and
friends were her entire focus until her children were
grown. She then dedicated her time to her work at
Sears from which she retired, leaving many friends
who still miss her. Millie’s favorite times including
cooking (especially her famous crabs and spaghetti)
for her family and many friends, rooting for the
Gators, fishing on Crescent Lake, and playing the
slot machines (at which she had uncanny luck!).
She leaves to mourn her loss her loving family
including two sons, Gus and Bill (Dana) Carlson,
her daughter, Debbie (Jim) Manning, nine
grandchildren, Lamar (Sarah Lynn) Williams, Trey
(Mimi) Gunn, MiLaura Williams, Patrick (Mary)
Carlson, Chris (Jessica) Gunn, Caroline (Nathan)
Vickery, Caitlyn Carlson, Josh Manning, and
Travis Manning, and one great grandchild, Harry
Williams. Her friends are too numerous to mention
because of her infectious outgoing personality.
