Carol J. Bavido

Carol J Bavido was born July 16th 1930 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania by Ethyl Gearin. Carol was one of four siblings, Naomi, Faith, and Byron whom she loved dearly. She was blessed with many talents not limited to dancing, singing, and cooking. She was not only intelligent and adventurous but also a caring, elegant, and glamourous woman that left a lasting impression in many lives. She was frequently dressed fashionably, ready for any occasion. Carol enjoyed traveling , experiencing the finest cuisines, and most of all, spending time with family. Being an avid reader, she regularly had a book in her hand with a story to share. Her family and friends will miss her profoundly.

Carol is survived by her brother Byron Shupp and his wife Sheila, daughter Sheri Sforza and her husband Doug McGowan, granddaughter Christine Fritz and her husband Ken Thompson, six great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home at 11801 San Jose blvd, on March 26th, 2024 from 10 to 11 AM. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 2 to 2:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road.
