Carol was a Manager for Publix Supermarket and a member of the Baptist faith. She loved music, enjoyed reading, and was a FL Gator fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Howard Stout.
Carol is survived by her husband, Wayne Smith; daughters, Patti Loughlin (John), and Lori Cates (Scott); sons, Larry Cross, Jr. (Bubba), Kevin Cross (LaToya), and Gregg Smith (Stacy); sister, Nadine Davis (Paul); brother, Erwin Stout (Renella); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation for Carol will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, starting at 9am, with a service to follow at 10am, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Burial will follow at 11am, at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
