Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Carole later moved to Miami, where she met her future husband, Leonard (“Lenny”) Kessler. Married for 47 years, they built a home filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for their family and cherished dogs. Lenny passed away in 2007. Together, they lived in Miami for much of their lives, later moving to Ocala, and eventually settling in Jacksonville to be near family.
Carole was a woman of thoughtfulness, quiet integrity, and a touch of humor. She treated everyone with kindness and respect, always considering others and making them feel cared for. She was a devoted and nurturing mother.
She is survived by her daughters Karen (Dan) Arms, Beverly (“Bevy”) Kessler, and Anne (Luis) Castro, and by her beloved granddaughters, Sydney and Samantha Arms, who were a constant source of pride and joy in her life. Carole will also be remembered by friends and extended family, including her sister-in-law Helen Kunzel and sister-in-law Mitzi Marks and her children Sharon, Craig, and Sean.
Carole was a dedicated x-ray technician for most of her working life. She held fond memories of dancing with Lenny, having family and friends over for get-togethers and parties, and taking walks. She especially enjoyed beach days and treasured annual family vacations that created lasting memories.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole’s memory to your local animal shelter or an organization of your choice.
Mom, thank you for a wonderful life. We will love and miss you forever – Karen, Bevy and Anne
