

Carolyn Redmond Hietter, 97, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. She was born in Stewart County, Georgia on September 29th, 1924. She was the daughter of the late John F. Redmond, Jr. and the late Lillian G. Redmond. She was predeceased by her brother Walter Frederick "Billy" Redmond.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Val Hietter III; daughter, Carol Ann Stover; son, Michael Val Hietter; grandsons, John Foster and Billy Foster; nephew, John Frederick Redmond III; nieces, Marianna Williams and Judy Westbrook; great-grandchildren, Michael Foster, Will Foster, and Matt Foster; and many great nieces and nephews, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hietter was a long-time member of San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church. At the church she served as a volunteer with her husband managing garage sales for many years to raise money for the school. She served many years at Julington Creek Elementary School in the medical clinic and as a chaperone on many field trips. She was an accomplished gardener and cook, and had a love of birds.
She was admired and loved by her family and she will be greatly missed. Blessed with a
full life on earth, she is now with her Creator and loved ones that passed before her.
