Carolyn was a devout Christian and member of 1st Christian Church, disciple of Christ. She was proud to identify as a Southern woman and a Floridian. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devoted sister and friend. Carolyn was a longtime fan of the Florida Gators and avid baseball fan. She sought solace in being among nature, reading, painting and spending time with her family and puppies.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 39 years, Gary L. Smith Sr; her children Matthew Smith, Gary L. Smith Jr. and wife Catherine Smith; her grandchildren Leonidas and Elias, brothers Frank and Leroy Jones and sisters Anne McVay, Mary Smith and Dorothy Tucker, as well as her nephews, nieces and extended family members.
