I have known and loved Cathy for more than 12 years. We shared deep convictions in doing all we can to promote women's rights and support women in their lives while representing Jacksonville Area NOW. She was a catalyst for change and her contributions will be missed. Her life was a reflection of her strength, her humor, and her love of life, family and friends. I will miss her greatly and always keep thoughts of our friendship close to my heart.

I met Cathy when I first moved to Jax in 1981.  My memories are of her consistent drive to pass the ERA, her fight to support women getting away from domestic violence, her support of women writers, and her drive to ensure all women had the education and tools needed to have a productive and secure life.  She inspired me.  I miss her.

Cathy Drompp... lover of books and words, hard worker, peace-maker, optimist with a wicked sense of humor.......I wish you had not left so soon.  I treasure the time that I had with you at WCJ,  surrounded by piles of books and stacks of paper.

Cathy loved her coffee and would stop by my office nearly every day just to say, "Hi".  She was one in a million - dedicated, professional, kind, loving, gentle.  If it weren't for Cathy we would not have had the opportunity to adopt our blind cat, Luna.  As Luna lay in my arms last week I believe she could sense the loss of dear guardian.  Cathy, we will truly miss you. Thank you for being you!

I met Cathy and Linda briefly . Cathy was dying, but with a smile,  and love for all of her friends around her. Rarely have I see so many friends visit a patient, an obvious testimony to her life.

Cathy was always kind, thoughtful, and caring. She was a tireless worker for peace and justice. Her light will be missed.

I met Cathy when I joined JaxNOW. Her thoughtfulness and kind demeanor welcomed me. She will be greatly missed.

Cathy was 3 and I was 4 when we met and she has been my little sister ever since. Our homes were side by side and we were separated only by the width of a driveway until she left for college.  She was an extraordinary person.  I will dearly miss sharing birthday greetings and talking about our youth and families.

I was very saddened to hear about Cathy's passing. I always enjoyed her company and admired her dedication to adult literacy.  A genuine, down to earth woman with a servant's heart. She will be greatly missed.

Cathy made the world a brighter and better place with her years of work in adult literacy.  You helped so many and will be missed by all who knew you.
