

Charles "Charlie" Wells Coleman III, 58, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Thursday December 10, 2015 at his home. A memorial will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at St Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3976 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32207. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parks Conservation Association (ncpa.org). Charles Wells Coleman III was born February 18, 1957 in Jacksonville, FL to Charles Jr and Mary Dain Coleman. He graduated from Wolfson High School in 1975 and from Georgia Southern University in 1979. On October 11, 1986 he married Mary Dehner in Jacksonville, FL. Charles enjoyed hiking in the beautiful National Parks around the U.S., snow skiing, entertaining friends and neighbors, and playing with his grandchildren. Charlie is survived by his wife of 29 years, Mary, his mother, Mary Dain, his son, Matthew Jacobs of Hermosa Beach, California, and his daughter, Jennifer and husband Randy Clay of Holly Springs, NC; three grandchildren, Zoe, Bryce and McKenzie Clay; brother and sister in-laws and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Wells Coleman Jr.
