Charles Fred Selph

SELPH Charles Fred Selph, 85, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 7, 1927 in Wauchula, FL to Henry Selph and Emma Scott Selph.Charles lived in Jacksonville, since 1949. He was a World War II Veteran of the U. S. Army and participated in the Occupation of Japan. Mr. Selph was a member of the Operating Engineers Union and the First Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his large family. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Marvin and Warren Selph. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Geraldine; daughters, Sherry and Donna Selph; son, Scott Selph; sisters, Florence Gornto, Mildred Murphy and Shirley Roberson; brothers, Durwood and Etheridge Selph; 7 Grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. On Friday, July 26, 2013 the Selph family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 am with the funeral service to follow at Noon, both in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
