Charles Daniel Warwick, age 90, passed away May 5, 2021 at Community Hospice Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Augusta, GA. After graduating from Monroe High School and getting his BBA at University of Georgia in Atlanta, He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean crisis. Later he earned his MED at University of Florida and became a teacher with the Duval County school system, retiring after 24 years. He loved to travel and proudly developed mountain property near his summer home in North Carolina. In recent years he struggled with Alzheimer’s dementia at Westminster Woods in Julington Creek Assisted Living memory unit with his wife Mary as caregiver by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, two older siblings and one daughter. He is survived by two younger siblings, one daughter and one granddaughter. Also surviving is his wife of 28 years, Mary Warwick and her three children and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date in Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, GA. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
