

Charles Thomas “Tom” Williams, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida entered eternal rest on August 28, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara Ann Kogge Williams, four children, Barbara D. “Bunnie” Emanuel, Rebecca W. “Becky” Sharp (John), Charles T. “Buddy” Williams, Jr. (Aricca) and Charlene P. “Charlie” Bourgeois (Will). He is predeceased by his precious grandson, Jacob R. Sherrill and survived by six loving grandchildren, Nicholas J. Emanuel, Michael A. Emanuel (Jessica), Rachel A. Bourgeois Pittman (Lane), Taran A. Williams, Natalie G. Williams, and Adam P. Bourgeois.
Tom served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 – 1960. He was a deputy sheriff with the Duval County Road Patrol from 1961 to 1968. He retired as an all-lines adjuster from Geico in 1995.
As an avid traveler, he and Barbara traveled visiting all 50 states in their motorhome and by car, made 7 trips to Europe and sailed on 41 cruises. In search of a much-needed rest, he decided to return to work for 6 months. This resulted in a ten-year stint from 2003 – 2013 with Enterprise Leasing as a transporter.
Tom was a Master Mason for 63 years and a Morocco Temple member of the Funsters Unit. He served as President of the Funsters Clown Unit in 1977 and competed in the SECA White-Face Clown competition winning third place in 1974.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32211. Viewing will begin at 12:30 pm and the service will begin at 2:00 pm. Masonic graveside service will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206.
Tom was a long-term supporter and member of the Morocco Temple, therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.lovetotherescue.org would be greatly appreciated.
