Rachel and family, My sincere sympathy on the passing of your wonderful father.

Rachel - I am so sorry for the loss of your father. Chauncey and Sara both were such kind, generous and loving people. They were both wonderful friends through the years. I feel a deep sense of personal loss and will certainly miss their warm smiles and friendly words. May you be comforted and find peace in knowing how much your parents contributed to the lives of all who had the pleasure and privilege of knowing them. In Christian love, Betty Lou Watson

Mr. Lever was a wonderful man. I think I've known him my whole life. I remember him well from when Rachel and I went to Girl Scout summer camp when we were in second grade. He was the best dad and you could tell he loved his family dearly. I loved his sense of humor, and he made me feel so welcome in his home when I visited. He will be missed by so many.

Mr. Lever was one of the finest men I have ever known. I deeply cherish all the memories I made with him and his family over the last 47 years. William and I went by to see him last August when we were passing through Jacksonville. We had the best visit with him talking about old times. We both will always remember his happy smile when we waved goodbye to him.

Dr. Lever and Family,

We were so saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved father/grandfather! While intellectually we know he's in a better, more beautiful place than we are,it's still hard to let go and the loss makes our hearts heavy with grief.

Our families thoughts and prayers are with ALL of you at this very difficult, sad time.

In Christ's Love,

Ecclesiastes 3:1 provides us with a very familiar phrase, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:" Verse 12 in the same book and chapter also says "I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live;"

This is what Chauncey Sr. and Sarah did their entire lives. Both were very devoted to God first, themselves second, and their family third; as it should be. They were truly God's servants by providing living examples of how people should treat and care for one another. Their teachings live on in their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and it is up to each one of them to honor Chauncey Sr and Sarah by carrying that torch and blessing to others.

We know that while we all have to learn to live apart from Chauncey Sr and Sarah for a time, we all have the Gift available to us to see them again in Heaven. We rejoice, for them, that Chauncey Sr is now with Jesus and his beloved Sarah. For Chauncey Sr, we are happy for him that his time here without Sarah was short and that God gave him the time to prepare the rest of us for his absence. Greg, Marie, and I rejoice that Chauncey Sr, and Sarah, WON the battle and are now celebrating their Victory together with God.

God's Blessings to all the family as you learn to carry on without them here with you. We were privileged and honored to get to know them both, and they will be greatly missed. Be happy for both of them that they are now together. Hug them in your thoughts and and prayers, and they are not ever far away from you.

All our love and prayers,
Greg & Lynda Temple

I was honored to know Mr. Lever through Southside United Methodist Church and the Heritage Sunday School Class. Chauncey and Sara Lever were two gracious, forever kind folks who lived their lives each day placing God first and foremost. Chauncey was given to compliments, and I have been the grateful, undeserving recipient at times. Recognized by this extraordinary gentleman who walked hand in hand with God left me enormously humbled. Many will miss Mr. Lever, and I claim my place among them. Farewell, wonderful friend!

I did not know your father-in-law but I can see how involved and loved he was by his family and community. May God bless your family and hold your wonderful memories tight.

May God bless and give us Peace in this time of loss. I feel very blessed to have known Chauncey & Sara for the short time that I was privileged to know and love them. They were beautiful Christians and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved them. They were such a loving and caring couple. I know that they are together in Heaven and we all have to take comfort in this knowledge. Praise the Lord, our God!!!
