Cherie was, by far, one of the most inviting and caring individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She always had a kind word, or a shoulder to cry on. Her memory will live on in the many people whose lives she has touched. I feel we are the fortunate ones to have had the chance to meet her.Her love for her family and her upbeat spirit will continue to be an inspiration. Though we grieve for what has been lost, we rejoice what we had, no matter the short time it was here, and will remember the joyful times forever. May the knowledge that she touched so many lives be a comfort to the family at this time of sorrow.

Words could never explain my condolences. The love of a cherished Mother could never be replaced, but it's the fun memories you always keep within your hearts. The great memories that push the pain away. The smile you remember, the gentle touch of her hand, and the way she seemed to make everything disappear no matter how bad things were is the memory you will never forget. Life is never perfect, but it's the perfect moments in time you hold treasured in your hearts. I pray God provides ever lasting peace beyond understanding to this lovely family, and the strength to carry on till the next day, each day. Mrs. Schuster came into this world, leaving it better than she found it only to be welcomed in His loving arms.

To all the family of Cherie........my prayer for each of you is a brand new touch from God each day.  This comes from an old "contemporary Christian" song from 1977 that encouraged me during and after a divorce.  It says something like--"If you'll give me Lord a brand new touch, my touch from yesterday is gone.  If you'll give me Lord a brand new touch, I'll have the strength to carry on."  Clarence, I awoke about 5 this morning and thought of you getting ready to go to work and asked God to give you that touch for today.  JC and I love each of you and are here for you.  What more can I say except to repeat the many sentiments of soooo many people.  She was loving, generous, fun, and spunky!!! What a complete package.  JC and I will miss our "Buddy" as JC so fondly referred to her.

I could never forget the first time I met Cherie at church. During "meet and greet", she always came over with a big smile, shook my hand and said, "Hi Cindy, how are you?" I was like, "How does she know my name? And why does she act like she likes me so much?" HAHA!
She was one of the most friendliest and happiest persons I have ever met. 
You could not help but to love Cherie!
She was my secret sister one year and I will never forget how original and generous she was. She was the best secret sister ever!
She loved to get the girls together for a "movie night". She liked to have fun. She tried to get as many of us in "free" with her passes as she could. 
She got a package together for my daughter in Iraq and for that I will be forever grateful. 
I can't wait to see Cherie again. I am sure God has her up there getting all the scrapbooks together. She will have so much for us to see when we get there. 
She was a beautiful woman and I am going to miss her terribly!!! Can't wait to see you again, Cherie! Enjoy your "mansion over the hilltop". I want to see what you have done to the place when I get there. Cindy Smith

We firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. We are blessed that Matt and Cassie moved in next door and soon became good neighbours and close friends. We are blessed that you came to visit and see New Mexico in its natural beauty. We are blessed that you then came to stay with us in Savannah and had the opportunity to enjoy a carriage ride in this phenomonal historic city; but we are most blessed to have come to know you. You were beautiful both inside and out and you will always be in our hearts. 
We know you will be looking out for Matt & Cassie... but we're sure you won't mind a little extra help!

Dad would be the one to end with great food; for those of us who know him that well we can only giggle. I can imagine Mom looking down right now saying "Why are you all crying, stop crying, no reason to cry". Mom never was the type to cry, honestly the most I ever saw her cry was the last 6 months & I think it had to do with the chemo. I'm sure she will understand this time for all the crying. 
It still feels like a dream, it seems like mom is at the hospital waiting on us to come up to see her. Over the last 6 months we have made some memories even if they were in the hospital or while she was sick. I remember staying the nights with her at Baptist South & wondering how patients rested with all the beeping, alarms, nurses coming in & out. Leaving school early to go see her at the hospital & she always helped me study even through treatments, taking her icies & milkshakes, sneaking up real sugar to her & finding out she could really have it. To having Matthew arrive home for mid-tour when Mom was in ICU, she was smiling so big when we walked in even with all the tubes. Dad's letter board he made her to spell words since she couldn't talk at the time, Baptist hospital setting up Skype for Mom in her room so could still see the wedding she helped plan for Matt & I. Climbing in bed with her to watch Matt & I's wedding video along with Dad and the nurses joining too. Craig always making sure everyone was practicing safety first with Foam In, Foam Out. All the nurses talked about how happy she was, always smiling and Dad's baking was a BIG hit. With a special bag of goodies that would always go to their favorite nurse Talea, who has become family. 
Light the Night was Mom's first outting with her new wig. She was so excited to see everyone and suprised at the whole turn out. She was smiling so big when I told her how much her team "All My Love" raised in her honor. For those of us there that night, we will never forgot the incident that landed Mom on the Matthews bridge. Atleast she got up laughing and it didn't stop her from smiling. 
I remember calling her Tuesday before she ended up in the hospital again to check on her. She didn't answer the house phone so I called her cell, she said she DROVE up to Betty Griffin store to get shirts that fit her. I couldn't believe she was driving herself, I dont think Mom liked being chauffeured around like Dad did. She texted me later to let me know she got home safe. She wanted to go get her nails done after Thanksgiving; I now wish I would have taken her before hand. 
Seeing her face before Thanksgiving when the doctor told her things were looking good, she just needed some blood & platelets before the long holiday. Dad picked her up Thanksgiving morning and I was bringing them dinner from The Parkers as she couldn't attend the dinner. 
I remember seeing her light up even on the hard days, she was so strong and Im going to miss walking in the house and hearing her say "There's my Baby Girl".
Mom fought a hard disease with all she had in her, she was a trooper we'd say but in the end the Lord needed a angel & I will say He took one of the BEST! 
Im blessed to have got 26 years with a wonderful, loving, caring, sweet, heartfelt person I could personally call MOM. 
She has her work cut out for her in Heaven. Being a Guardian Angel to so many people she will be super busy but I know she is going to LOVE IT I love you Mom, We will miss you so much.

From A Husband to My Wonderful Wife:
It was this same time of year that I first met Cherie. She came into where I worked during the Christmas holidays. At least for me it was love at first sight. I took her to a New Years Eve work party. This was our first date along with being the first & only girl I ever dated. It also became the same time of year that we had our last time together. 
Through the 44 years we were married there were many ups and downs, good times and not so good, tears and smiles but it was always "Till Death Do Us Part". Sad times in just the past few years with the loss of my mother & father and then Cherie's father but nothing puts a bigger hole in your heart then the loss of your spouse. The heart will eventually heal around it but the hole will always be there. 
In 44 years Cherie never liked milk. I would say she probably didn't drink it more than a couple times a year, but after her first chemo treatment she could not get enough milk. She would get upset if I asked her to drink something else as we were going through a gallon every 2 days. 
In the evening when I would ask her if she wanted some of my desserts, she would sayd can I have a popsicle instead. But she never did get the taste for sweet potatoes.
Our biggest dream when we retired was to travel and take a Alaskan cruise. I not only lost my lifetime partner, I lost the world's best chauffeur.
I want to thank the Lord for his mercy & strength, for his eternal love and a promise of a home in Heaven with no more pain or suffering. I thank Him for meeting every need when it was needed. I thank Him for my 3 children, Cindy, Craig and Cassie along with their families for their love & support. 
Thanks to all those who prayed continually for Cherie, for the many, many cards, gifts, flowers and all the great food.

I would like to thank everyone for coming to the memorial friday night and a special thank you to all the friends that sat for hours to keep Mom company while she was in the hospital and also stayed with her during the time she was at home while we, her family, had to work. 
I also want to thank those who donated blood for my Mom. Our donation helped to keep Mom going as well as helped others. I never gave blood until I saw my Mom in need of it. I will continue to donate and ask that everyone else do the same. We can help other families that are going through what we went through by doing so.
Mom put up a good fight, but last Saturday was one of the hardest things that I have ever been faced with in my life. The one thing that I know is that she is with God in Heaven and her cancer is gone and she is pain free. she is now having the life that we all dream about. Mom finally WON THE LOTTERY!
We will miss her very much and will always remember the times we shared together. I can still remember the day that Mom co-signed for a three-wheeler for me and the first thing Dad said was..... "Your gonna hurt yourself!". It only took a couple of months before I broke both of my arms. The good thing was Mom always worked at a medical office where I got good treatment at a discounted rate.
She was a great Mom, Grandma & Wife and will be missed by all of us and will never be forgotten. We love you Mom.

I don't know what to say. We will all miss her so much here at JOI. She was a shining light every day she was here. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family Cassie.  I know your mother was so proud of you. She was a very special person and we all loved her. God be with you and your family.

Cherie, the reality of your leaving and going home to be with our Wonderful Lord and Savior, still has not set in for me.  You were there for me so many times, you were truly the best friend that I ever had.  I Love you sister and I will miss you very much. As I look around my home I see so many things to remind me of you, for you were always such a giving person. Thank you for all you did for me, I will miss you, but I know that one day we will meet again at our heavenly home.

To Clarence, Cindy, Cassie and Craig.  There is no way to lessen the sorrow of losing someone as precious as Cherie.  She was loved and cherished by so many and I for one will always remember her for her fighting spirit and love of her family.  She has been my friend for over 50 years and I will always be thankful to God that He put her in my life.  She faced her cancer the way she faced everything....with strength, courage, hope and grace.  She will always be my hero.   My prayer for all of you is that you will experience God's strength and comfort too at this very sad time.   My thoughts and prayers will be with you on Friday.  I am sorry that I can not be back in Florida to be with you.  I look forward to the day when I will see my dear friend again.

My sympathy goes out to the Schuster family.  I hope that the memories that  you have will help ease your pain and help you through this time.  Cherie was an amazing woman who will be missed by many.

Cherie, I still can't believe you are gone.  My heart is so sad.  We had so much fun together over the years.  I am so thankful for all of the memories we made.  I will miss you my dear friend.  I love you!

Clarence, Cindy, Craig and Cassie you have my deepest, and most heartfelt sympathy.  Cherie was definitely an angel here on earth so I can only imagine the glorious wings she has in heaven.  May all the wonderful memories you have of her help bring a smile to your face.  May our Lord wrap His loving arms around you all, and give you comfort.

Cherie was kind and loving friend to me when my troubles to heavy to bare. I will miss her, but know that she is in heaven, one more angel.

Cherie & I have gone to church together, traveled together, scrapbooked together and went to the mountains together last year when they came to visit us in York, SC.  She was always great fun and I will miss her greatly.  I never knew her to hold a grudge and always praised her Lord and Savior.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Her children are truly blessed for her to have worked so hard on leaving them memories of her life in scrapbook form.

 There are no words to express my grief over the passing of my sister-in-law.   What wonderful memories linger in my heart. It just does not seem possible that Cherie is gone and is now enjoying her Heavenly home with her lord and mom and dad. Cherie was such a encourgement to me in this last few weeks as she suffered so in the last few months.
