On Thursday, February 16, 2017, Chester Jarvis Courtney, age 89 passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie Lee and Marion Courtney, his brother Guy Courtney and his sister Thelma Floyd. He is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Courtney and Larry G. Courtney, both of Orlando, FL. He was born in Rogersville, TN, graduated from Rollins College with a B.S. degree and retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service.
