Chester “Chet” Jennings Workman, 61, passed away August 14, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Chet was born to Luther and Shirley Workman in Warwick County, VA on December 22, 1951. He served in the US Navy for 22 years before retiring as a Chief in 1990. He attended Auburn University during his time in the Navy for Engineering. Chet went on to work for Everhome Bank, where he also retired. Chet loved to fish and play golf in his free time. Chet is survived by his son, LTJG Stephen Jennings Workman, USN (wife, De’Anna); companion of 13 years, Christine Green; brother, Wayne Workman; his feline friend, Lilly; along with other family members and friends. A Memorial Gathering for Chet will be held at a later date.
