Clarisse Martin Crawford

CRAWFORD-Clarisse Martin Crawford, 64, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Jacksonville. She was one of nine children born on January 5, 1949. She is survived by her soul mate, Rick Blanchard, who was her rock through a fourteen month battle with cancer. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Karen Abshire (Terry), Tammy Milam (Larry), Terry Austin, Jr., Billy Austin and Scott Blanchard (Katie). "Reese" was a loving grandmother to Kacey Hurley (Eric), Jess and Austin Wright, Caleb Abshire and Tiffany Austin. She was an adoring great grandmother to Aislynn Hurley, Gavin Hurley, Exavier Austin, Ja-Leah, Monti and Kimber Harris. Clarisse was a talented soul. She enjoyed playing the piano, sharing her beautiful paintings with others and teaching her grandchildren to draw; above all, she taught everyone the value of love. She looked upon you with genuine heartfelt love and adoration as if seeing a newborn baby for the first time. We will hold her gently in our hearts until we meet again in heaven. Rest peacefully, Clarisse. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29th at Southpoint Baptist Church, 3335 Tiger Hole Rd., Jax., FL 32216.
