Cliff was the seventh child of Clarence William Selig, Sr. and Pauline Kewan Selig. His siblings include Gertrude Irene Odom, Clarence William Selig, Jr., Carolyn May Morphew, Leslie Howard Selig, Steve Irwin Selig, Rosemary Selig McBeth, and his baby sister Pauline “Cookie” Howard. Cliff enlisted in the Navy on September 1, 1966 and was honorably discharged on November 18, 1971. Cliff was last stationed at NAS Mayport, Jacksonville FL. After leaving the Navy, he made Jacksonville his home and worked as an Operating Engineer for several local companies. Cliff was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 673. In his off time Cliff enjoyed boating, and camping with his life partner, Mark Alan Henson, and his fur babies, Tikaani, Bailey, & Nakita. He traveled across the United States and Puerto Rico. Cliff held tight to his Russian Orthodox teaching and beliefs.
Cliff is preceded in death by his father, Clarence William Selig, Sr., his mother, Pauline Kewan Selig, his brothers, Clarence William Selig, Jr., Leslie Howard Selig, and Steve Irwin Selig. He is survived by his life partner, Mark Alan Henson, his sisters Gertrude Irene Odom, Carolyn May Morphew, Rosemary & Mike McBeth, Pauline & Tim Howard, and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many personal friends and colleagues in both Kodiak and Jacksonville.
