Craig Davies died Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the age of 58; he was pre-deceased by his step-father, Berkley Daniel Davis, his maternal grandparents, George Frank and Mary Helen Mauck, and fraternal grandmother, Katherine Davies-Sands.
Craig was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 23, 1965. He attended Assumption Grade School, then went on to Wolfson High School through 10th grade; he began his working career early in the flooring business with his Dad. Then, he attended Florida Junior College and received his G.E.D. Diploma November 25, 1986. He was awarded several certifications in those industries during his career.
Craig is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Renee, and her mother, Julie; his Mother, Stephanie, his Father; Gene and his wife Barbara and their daughter; his step-sister Naomi, his Brother Keith, his wife Lea and their daughter Shannon, as well his Aunt's, Linda and Veronica, Uncle's, Dennis wife Mary, Alan wife Cathy and Charles, and his step-sisters Candice and Rebecca and numerous first and second cousins.
His favorite hobbies were surfing with Rebecca and many other fun activities with her, especially vacations at their beach Condo in New Smyrna Beach and many trips to Disney World. He loved helping the less fortunate and went out of his way to help injured birds and animals and take them to rescue shelters. Often, he bought a dozen roses and passed them out to women and children just because he wanted to make their day. When he lived in Mandarin, he would purchase dozens of flowers on Mother's Day, arrange them, and deliver them to ladies in retirement homes.
Craig will be deeply missed for his kindness. Within this last year, he frequently sent Bible verses to a group of six of his friends.
Craig, goodbye for now until we see you again. Sing and dance with the Angels and Saints and all your Relatives already in Heaven, as well as your many beloved deceased Pets, especially Daisy, Rex, Lexi, and Maggie.
We all love you and miss you!
A celebration of Craig's life get-together for his family and friends at a date and place to be announced in the near future.
In place of flowers, please consider donating to your local Animal Shelter, B.E.A.K.S. Wildlife Sanctuary, Amelia Island, or a Charity of your choice.
