

FERGUSON Curtis C. Buck Ferguson of Jacksonville died in his home on May 19, 2012 surrounded by the family who loved him. Curtis was born on May 16, 1919 in Chicota, Texas. While serving in the US Army during WW II as a corporal MP he met and married his first wife, Anna. They were together for 48 years until her death. They lived most of their lives together in New York until 1984 when they moved to Jacksonville. In 1996, Curtis met and married Audrey E., with whom he lived until his death. He was an avid bowler, an active member of the Off Springs Bowling Team until he was 91 years old. He was a member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church and was a retired member of the Teamsters Local 807. In addition to his wife, Audrey, he is survived by his son, Dennis Ferguson of Jacksonville, and daughter, Vada A. Rosen (Michael), of Jacksonville Beach and his step daughter, JoAnne McKinney (Rea) of Jacksonville. He was predeceased by step daughter, Kathy Coates, and a step-grandson. Curtis leaves behind 5 wonderful grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as three step grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 nieces and 3 nephews. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 6-8PM at Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church at 10AM on Tuesday, May 22, with internment to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
