

Throughout his life, he enjoyed sports by playing football and baseball, boxing, coaching youth baseball, umpiring youth and adult baseball and softball, attending WWE wrestling events ringside. He loved to cook out on the grill for family and friends and anyone who would be entertained by his jokes and stories.
Curtis attended Terry Parker High School, was a former insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Co., Umpire Coordinator for the Recreation Department, and Booking Commissioner for the Jacksonville Umpires Association for many years.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Annette, two children, Stacey (Stacy) Grice, Christopher (Christina) MacDowell, three precious grandchildren, Ava, Sophia and Leah, one brother, Grant (Sherri) Patton, Jr., other relatives and a host of dear friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 5:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL.
