Dale E. Kelly, 80, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away June 12, 2012. He was born in Thomaston, GA, son of the late Claude and Maggie Mai (Wade) Kelly. Dale entered the Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in the Mediterranean, as well as Jax NAS.
Dale had a sense of humor that was legendary.
Dale was preceded in death by his dear wife Betty Jean, sister, Genora Highfield and brother, Marion Kelly.
Surviving are four children, Mark (Sheryl) Kelly, Kathy (Harvey) Hahn, Paul Kelly, John (Joy) Kelly, a brother, Kenneth (Carole) Kelly, four grandchildren, Matthew, Kristi, Adam and Kevin and many dear friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15, from 6 – 8 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 am at Glendale Community Church, 6411 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville. Pastor Harvey Hahn will officiate.
