Dale Fielding McNary

Dale has gone from us unexpectedly and far too soon. One of his sayings was, “I’m not ready.” Sometimes God has a different plan for us. Our consolation is knowing Dale is in God’s and his loving parent’s arms, Patricia Shumaker McNary and James F. McNary.

Although Dale had some major setbacks, he was strong and forged ahead. No matter how difficult, he would attend his doctor appointments and as we’d say, would “Sit up and take nourishment, if only to make his wife, Debbie happy." Dale had a beautiful dry sense of humor and wit.

Dale proudly enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was proud to serve his country and to defend freedom for all and was a true American.

Dale’s only child, a son, Dustin of Williamsport, PA, will sorely miss his Dad as will his sister, Teresa Cook of Lafayette, IN and his brother, Bruce, of Sellersberg.

An informal gathering will be held at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Boulevard, 32223, on Wednesday, July 17 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Shorts, sandals and tee shirts will be the dress code.
