

Daniel Lee Caton, 54, born in Uniontown, PA went home to be with the Lord on March 11th 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. Dan was the only son of Lewis and Wilma Shaffer Caton, and leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents; son, Sean; daughter, Shannon; sisters, Donna L. Caton and Patricia A. Henschel; numerous aunts; uncles; nephews; friends and his beloved calico cat, Dixie.
Dan moved to Jacksonville from Pittsburgh, PA in 1983 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL and was a devoted family man. He attended Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA as an Accounting and Economics major and Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. He was also skilled as a Medical Coding Technician. Dan loved all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, computers, and music. He was as intelligent as he was kind and gentle. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and who could count of his positive countenance and sense of humor to brighten up any day.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, March 15th in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Mandarin Cemetery.
