Daniel Louis Roberti of Jacksonville, Florida, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 9, 2021. He was born to Victor and Anna Roberti on November 19, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he grew up. He enlisted during the Vietnam Era and proudly served in the United States Navy. He achieved a rank of Boatswain’s Mate Third Class aboard the USS Yellowstone. He was stationed at Mayport Naval Station and after receiving his honorable discharge in 1967, he remained in Jacksonville and became a lifelong resident. After 40 years of working in the printing industry, he retired from Relizon as a production manager in 2007. He enjoyed being on the water, spending time on his back porch watching nature, writing poems, riding his tractor, and enjoying days in his pool with family and friends. His four grandchildren were his pride and joy. He genuinely brought all the laughter to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan; daughters Chelsea (Matt) Schuler and Laura (Ryan) Hampton; grandchildren who adored their “Gumpy”, Riley, Reagan, Savannah and Wilder; brothers, Frank (Sawndra) Roberti and Vic Roberti, and sisters Laura Shook and Anna (Ron) Pietroboni; niece Kimberly and nephews Victor and Rich; lifelong Navy friend Joe Kulpa; and best friends Dave DeMello and Brad Lassiter. Dan will be dearly missed.
