BLACKBURN - David was welcomed into the world May 5, 1963 to David and Lisbeth Blackburn in Dixon, IL. He was the 8th child of what later grew to be 10 children, and the first son. His seven older sisters were so delighted and subsequently cherished his entire life, even until he died so unexpectedly. He was a resident of Jacksonville, FL for approximately 20 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Michael and his nephews Stephen and Todd. He is survived by 8 sisters who reside in Florida, Illinois and Idaho, 21 nieces and nephews and 31 great-nieces and nephews. He was very versatile, being a meticulous painter by trade, but had also previously worked with banking data systems. He had the “gift of gab” and could carry on a conversation with anyone about any topic. He was never afraid to state his views but was never judgmental of those who held opposing views. He was sharp-witted and loved to have fun. He enjoyed playing Trivia and was competitive nationally. He loved his family most of all and was loved in return.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Al Morrison Baseball Program for Youth in Dixon, IL, P.O.Box 388, Dixon, IL 61021.
