

CAUSEY-David Alan Causey of Jacksonville, FL passed away April 24, 2012. He was born in Solitude, IN September 24, 1940. Causey graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and was an employee of L & N Railroad until his retirement in 1999. He was married to Lanette Marie Causey on December 30, 1963. Causey is survived by his wife, Lanette of Jacksonville; his brother, Donald of Indianapolis, IN; his nephew, Dennis of Indianapolis, IN; his nephew, Mark Herron of Indianapolis, IN; his niece, Jodi Herron Behr of Louisville, KY and his nephews, Brad, Scott and Craig Wunderlich of Evansville, IN; and Alexander Wunderlich of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Causey began his career with the L&N Railroad as an operator in Evansville, IN in 1960 and continued to work for the L&N in Louisville, KY before moving to Jacksonville, FL in 1980 with the Seaboard Coastline Railroad. Causey was an avid baseball card collector, St. Louis Cardinals Fan, bass fisherman as well as a national bowler having bowled several perfect games. Causey also competed and performed as a ballroom and square dancer and traveled with the performing dance group, Reflections of Jacksonville, FL. Receiving of friends will be held at the Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, 1249 Girvin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32225 on Friday, April 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the "David Alan Causey Memorial Fund" through his church.
