David Maximilian Maciejewski

January 28, 1968 - August 5, 2021

David M. Maciejewski, age 53, passed away after a lengthy illness on August 5, 2021 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by his beloved family

Davey was born in Jacksonville, Florida and a lifelong resident. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. During his childhood Davey was in Cub Scouts and loved water skiing and fishing at Lily Lake. Weekends and Summers were spent there. What wonderful times they were. Great memories. At age 6, Davey started reading the sports page in the local newspaper. He memorized the stats on every player in the NFL. His favorite team of all time is the Miami Dolphins. He was their biggest fan, win, lose or draw. He was so excited when the Dolphins won their perfect 17-0 season. He started collecting Dolphin memorabilia very early on and now his collection would make even Dan Marino go “WOW”! He was very passionate about this.

He loved cars and went on to be a mechanic at Coggin Honda and was there for many years. After Coggin, he worked with Mike Davidson Ford as a Service Adviser in the commercial end. He could diagnosis any problem with any vehicle.

Davey love to cook and grill out. He loved giving parties where he would smoke meats and put on a great spread for everyone. His family and friends were very important to him.

Davey is pre-deceased by his Father, David Price, Stepfather Norman Ponsell, Adoptive Father, Don Maciejewski, Grandmothers, Amanda Monteen Howell and Wilfreda Maciejewski; Aunt Mary Newnham, Cousins, Grady Warren, III (Sonny) and Jack Newnham; Sister, Jennifer Price and Brother Mark Ponsell.

Davey is survived by his loving Mother, Judy Maciejewski (Bob Burns); Son, Brandon Maciejewski Storm (Jessie); Aunt and Uncle Kay and Tommy Seaward; Cousin, Donny Maraday; Aunt Brenda Webb; Sisters, Jackie Price and Jamie Lafond (Matt); Brother, Andy Price, Beloved Cat, Ginger; Best Friends, Barbara Waters and Stacey and Alan Davalt; Sister-in-law, Cristy Zelazny (Joe) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223.
