Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, David was the son of the late Andrew Eli Pierce and Ethel Roetter Pierce.
He was the proud founder and owner of Arlington Water Systems, established in the mid-1970s, and faithfully served the Jacksonville community for over 45 years. He was a member and Past Master of Arlington Masonic Lodge No. 309.
David is survived by his wife, Valerie Ford Pierce; his daughter, Davin Pierce Paul (Brent) of Honolulu, Hawaii; and his two grandchildren, Abigail and Luke.
He is also survived by two stepsons, Jason Headrick (Tina) and Jarrod Headrick (Shirley), both of Clay County, Alabama; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandy and Kathy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug Pierce and Jerry Pierce.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32211, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
