
David Rosenbauer aka MacGyver, 57, of Jacksonville died on Saturday December 20, 2014. David is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Chelsea of St. Augustine, brothers James (Mary) of Trumbull, CT and Michael (Laura) of Huntington LI, NY, and many other loving family and friends.
Dave attended and graduated from Huntington High School in 1975. Dave was a proud Marine Corp Veteran who served from 1975 to 1979. Following the Marine Corp he attended and graduated from Embry Riddle in Aircraft Maintenance Technology, earning his FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. Dave was employed by Saxon Business Systems as a Service Technician.
Dave loved the mid-summer Florida heat, hanging with friends at the pool and tiki bar with his favorite adult beverage and was an avid Paddle boarder. Those who know Dave understand the nickname MacGyver, he could literally fix anything and he did so very creatively, we will all miss Dave and his many wonderful qualities as well as his Madd Mr. Fix It Skillz. “Beyond the suffering you’ve known, I hope you find your way, May you never be broken again” – Alter Bridge
Military funeral honors will be held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 in lane 2 followed by a Celebration of Life at 4124 Sunset Lane North, Jacksonville, 32257. In true Dave fashion, please wear jeans or weather permitting, shorts and flip flops to the service and celebration.
