Dave was a devoted husband to his wife, Nancy, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. He was a loving father to his three children, Heather, Kaitlyn, and Ryan, and a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Knox, Kane, Kruz, and Aubree.
Dave worked as a construction contractor and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor, his love of practical jokes, and his ability to make those around him laugh. He also had a special love for his dog, Gidget.
Dave especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and treasured the memories they made together. His family was the center of his life, and he will be remembered for his humor, playful spirit, love of family, and the many memories he created with those closest to him.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Nancy; his children, Heather, Kaitlyn, and Ryan; his grandchildren, Knox, Kane, Kruz, and Aubree; his beloved dog, Gidget; and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Dave’s memory will live on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless memories he created throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dave’s memory to the Jacksonville Humane Society in honor of his love for animals, or to the American Heart Association in support of heart health and lifesaving research.
