

Deirdre Ann Dolan Drucker, 72, passed away on June 14, 2016, at Northeast Florida Community Hospice (McGraw Center), in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Bronx, NY on August 17, 1943, the daughter of the late John Michael Dolan and the late Mary (Northrop) Dolan. As a child, Deirdre was a competitive swimmer and had won multiple championships and pool records. Deirdre graduated from Greenwich (CT) Hospital Nursing School as a Registered Nurse in 1965. She then worked as an OR Nurse at Greenwich Hospital and Morton Hospital (Taunton, MA). She moved to Jacksonville in 1972, accompanying her husband, who was serving in the U.S. Navy, and began working for St. Vincent's Hospital. After his discharge from the military, they moved back to New York State, but returned to Jacksonville in 1976. Deirdre was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring nurse. She is survived by her husband, Michael S. Drucker, MD; son, Brian Drucker of Jacksonville, FL; and sister, Mary Ann Quinn (Michael) of Hendersonville, NC. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on June 21, 2016 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with an hour visitation prior. The Committal Service will follow at 2:30 pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
