Diane T. Maneri

Diane T. Maneri, 71, passed away October 7, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Diane grew up in Bayside Queens and lived on Long Island, NY for most of her life. She was a stay at home mom when her children were young but enjoyed working many different part time jobs while raising a family. Diane and her family spent 3 years in Lexington, KY and also lived in Albany NY. Diane moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1999 to be close to her first 2 grandbabies Chris and Nick. She worked as a customer service representative at Blue Cross Blue Shield until she retired in 2009.

Diane spent most of her joy filled 60s and 70s close to her son Tom and his wife Diane in Jacksonville. She loved traveling and visiting her youngest son Michael, his wife Kate and her third grandchild Jake in the United Kingdom. She also loved visiting her oldest son Walter and partner Marie in NY. She was lovingly known as ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren, their friends and families, loved entertaining, playing cards, reading mystery novels and watching sports. Diane had a very strong faith and a passion to learn more about Catholicism and was active in her church. She especially enjoyed singing as an alto in the St Joseph’s choir.

Diane is survived by her sons, Walter, Thomas, and Michael; their father Wally; grandchildren Chris, Nick, and Jake; brothers, Joseph and Tony; and sister, Corinne.

A Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, October11 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. The Funeral Service will be at 11am, Saturday, October 12 at St. Joseph’s Historic Church 4214 Loretto Rd. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
