On Saturday, February 19, 2022, Dr. Don Lynch, passed away due to medical complications. Donald Jay Lynch, known as “Dr. Don” and for his dynamic, Patton-esque preaching delivery, was a strong fathering leader, warrior, and apostolic pioneer to nations who dedicated his life to preparing a people ready to respond to what God is doing in this generation. If he wasn’t preaching, he wasn’t happy. He traveled and ministered in 33 countries but his heart was connected to Brazil in a special way. He ministered in Brazil for over 18 years, traveling all over the country and had a great love for the people, the land and it’s God-intended purposes.
Dr. Don was born on June 20, 1955 in Rush County, IN and grew up in Carthage, IN. He started preaching at the age of 15, following his father, brother and grandfathers into ministry. He married “the only girl he dated” and the love of his life, Ruthanne, in 1976 in Southport IN. They moved their family to Jacksonville FL in 1994. Dr. Don received a doctorate in ministry from Wagner Leadership Institute in 2002 in addition to the doctorate he received in Christian counseling at another institution. Passionate about honoring revelation, Dr. Don encouraged leaders to write and was himself a prolific writer having authored more than 18 books.
He was predeceased by brother Andrew Lynch, mother Annalee (Faris) Lynch and father Rev. Stanford Lynch. Dr. Don is survived by his wife of 46 years Ruthanne (Denny), son John Michael and daughter-in-law Amanda (Hickox), son James David and daughter-in-law Sarah (Belt) and son Jared Paul and seven grandchildren, brother Rev.
