

Donald W. Wagner, age 77, passed away on September 24, 2017 after battling Alzheimer’s Disease. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol Standard Wagner, his daughter, Linda Wagner Farrell (husband Brad) and two grandchildren (Aubrey and Logan). Don was born and raised in Colorado but had lived in Jacksonville since 1975. He also leaves behind his siblings: Barbara Connelly, Judy Boguszewicz and Dean Wagner. Don was an Eagle Scout and lettered in track and field at Douglas County High School. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 18 and served for more than 32 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served as a Chief Electronics Warfare Technician during most of his career. He earned many letters of commendation while in the Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Don loved the Denver Broncos, his dog Rambo and working around his home and yard. He was the ultimate DIYer. “Pops” will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Rendering of Honors will take place on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 11 A.M. at Jacksonville National Cemetery (Lane #2).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice in appreciation of the care they provided for Don in his final months.
