Donald Robert Wike

WIKE - Donald R. “Don” Wike,84,  passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. A native of Lebanon, PA,  he was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps and worked in the steel mills of Lebanon as a young man. He attended Sunset School of Preaching and became a full time preacher for over 30 years and served part time at Riverview Church of Christ for 15 years .He was a longtime elder there as well. His surviving family includes: his wife of 49 years, Suzanne Haver Wike; their children, Debby Kline, Denise Warnock, Robert Wike, Tammy Havens, and Edward Wike; Brothers and Sisters, Richard (Renee’) Wike, Ernie (Elsa) Wike, Robin Wike, Mary Donten, Florence Felty and Esther Emerich; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The words that represent him best are “Christian Devoted Family Man”. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 12 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave. from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13 at 11:00 AM at Lake Forest Church of Christ, 950 Edgewood Ave, W. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
