Doris K. Hamilton

Doris Knauer Ramsay Hamilton passed away on December 2, 2015 . She was born on June 25th 1921 to Gladys Eberhardt Knauer and William Jerome Knauer. She graduated from Robert E Lee High School and Mt. Vernon Jr. College.

She was a member of the 1940 debutante courterie, the Jacksonville Junior League, St. Marks Episcopal Church Alter Guild, Timuquana Country Club, Florida Yacht Club and the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club.

She was pre-deceased by her 1st husband Wayne Knight Ramsay and 2nd husband William Alvin Hamilton. She is survived by her children Dee Ramsay Burnett, Wayne K. Ramsay III, wife Debra, step children William A. Hamilton Jr. (Janie ), Patty D. Donahoo ( John) and Nancy Hamilton, her sister in-law Donna Knauer, her granddaughter, Heather Burnett Wingard and husband David and 2 great Grand Children Ramsay and Teddy. 3 nieces Donna Barnett Ennis, Diane Knauer Ludwig and Deborah Knauer and a nephew William J Knauer ( “Biggs”).

A funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Marks Episcopal Church, 4129 Oxford Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32210 or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
