Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, John A. Strickland, in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Dale) Heser.
Dorothy was a supervisor for State Farm Insurance in Illinois and was transferred to Jacksonville in 1954. She retired after 30 + years with the company. Dorothy was also a loyal and respected member of St. Nicholas Park Christian Church for 25 years.
Family suggested donations to the church in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8PM. Interment is at Greenlawn Cemetery.
