Dot McCall

Dorothy Wiley McCall, 90 Dorothy Wiley "Dot" McCall was born in Abbeville, AL, on May 26, 1927. Mrs. McCall, a long-time resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on January 8, 2018 in the comfort of family, loving friends, and caregivers in Cumming, GA. Dot and her husband of 66 years, Clarence, who passed away in 2015, lived in Jacksonville during their entire marriage. They were long-time members of the Lake Shore Baptist Church, where they both served in numerous capacities. During her working years, Dot was a bookkeeper for several packaging companies in the Jacksonville area. She managed her career and her home with love and care. She was quick to serve others, opening her heart to family, friends, and those in need. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McCall was predeceased by her father and mother, Frank and Cora Wiley; brothers Frank, Carl, Pete, Henry, and Mel Wiley; and sisters Ruby Grantham, Bessie Mauldin, and Lena Freeman. She is survived by sister Jewell Wiley Willis and brother-in-law Clarence of Ellaville, GA; son Phil and daughter-in-law Liz of Suwanee, GA; granddaughter Kelly McCall Mountain and husband Aaron of Fredericksburg, VA; and grandson SSG Spencer McCall and wife Tara of Fort Riley, KS. Dot is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Dexter, son of Spencer and Tara, and Penelope "Penny", daughter of Kelly and Aaron, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM, on Saturday, January 13, with the Funeral to follow at 11:00 AM in Lake Shore Baptist Church, 2365 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32210. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in Jacksonville Memory Gardens 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dot’s name to Lake Shore Baptist Church.
