Edward P. Dodds Jr.

Dodds - Edward P. Dodds Jr. age 75 passed away suddenly at home Aug.8, 2011. Ed was a wonderful husband, devoted father and grandfather and friend to all. He was born in Chester, PA to the late Edward and Doris Dodds. He attended Pennsylvania Military College in Chester, PA

He proudly served 4 yrs. in the US Army. He worked 35 yrs. for Prudential Insurance in NJ where he was also active in local politics and was on the Tuckerton school board. Moving to FL in 2002 to "retire" he currently worked at Westminster Retirement Community.

He was preceded in death by first wife Mary and his beloved sister Rosemarie. Survivors are his wife of 31 years Vesta; brothers Thomas and William; sisters Doris, Catherine and Dawn; sons Michael & Philip; daughters Catherine, Cynthia & Margaret. Step children James & Suzanne. Ed had 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

The family will be receiving guests on Mon, Aug.15 from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shepherd-of-the-Woods Lutheran Church. 7860 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32256.
