To all the Shelton's. We are so sorry on the loss of your Dad and Husband. Sending love and prayers. A very good man has left us but will never be forgotten. It's taken a couple of days to sink in, that my buddy that I grew up with and the Best man at our wedding is gone. A memory I'd like to share....Eddie called me when he got out of the Navy to come get him. He was still in uniform. He says I tell you what I'm going to buy us a case of beer. He goes into the store and realizes he has no pockets or money. He never had his wallet back in the day. So again I go in the store and buy the beer. I wrote him a letter every week that he was in the Navy! Kat has many memories also but her favorite is making his penny loafers stand up. We are so sorry for your loss. Our deepest sympathies.

As Class Rep and on behalf of the Father Ryan High Class of 1973, I extend our deepest sympathies and sadness at Eddie`s passing. Everyone that knew Eddie thought highly of him. He was a popular member of our class and always had a big smile for you. On a personal note, Eddie was one of the first people I befriended as a first grader at St Edward. His Mom Dot, and my, mother were good friends, so I hung around the Shelton home many times after school waiting for my mother to pick me up. This routine went on through 8th grade. Our 7-8th grade football locker room was only about 20 yards from the gate to the Shelton`s backyard. I have such fond memories of those St. Edward days. Our Father Ryan 50th "Golden Grad" Class Reunion is less than 3 years away and I was hoping that Eddie would be able to attend. We will miss our friend. May God bless his soul.

So sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. Eddie was a kind and caring man. He always put family and friend’s needs before his own. I’m so happy I had a chance to visit with Eddie
the last time he was in Nashville. May you rest in peace Eddie.

Vicki and I send our heartfelt sympathy to Jodi, Michael, Tracy, and Brandon, and to Dot and Ronnie and Joe and Jeannette. It's been a long time since our family would hang around with our Dad at Uncle John and Aunt Dot's house between parochial league games on the St. Edward field on Saturdays. Uncle John would have Notre Dame on the radio, losing of course. He always just shook his head and said, " Same old Irish." Eddie was little then, 8 years younger than me. He was a sweet kid. We were lucky to know him.
Love. Mike

So sorry to hear about Eddie. We grew up together and attended St. Edwards and Father Ryan Hight school. Eddie was actually in my sister's (Kim Archie) class. I had no idea Eddie was in the Jacksonville area, as I have moved to area (St. Augustine) just over 3-years ago.
My prayers are with you all. My the good Lord grant and give you peace.
Rest in Peace my friend -
