

Edwin Paguntalan, 67, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away September 8, 2011 at Northeast Florida Community Hospice. Born in Iloilo, Philippines, Edwin graduated from Central Philippines University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Due to his natural athleticism and leadership, he became a captain of the university's basketball team. He arrived to the United States in 1969 and moved to Florida in 1989. Edwin is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Felvita, daughter, Marla (Manuel) and three grandchildren: Aidan, Julia, and Samuel. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister and many extended family members.
Edwin was a member of Jacksonville Word of Faith where he rededicated his life to Christ.
He was an avid runner and completed several marathons in Jacksonville. He enjoyed bowling and competing in area tournaments with three 300 games in his career. His spirit was lifted when his grandchildren were born and loved spending time with them. Edwin will be remembered most for his comical behaviors, endless jokes, leadership and perseverance to be the best. He loved this country and was proud to be an American.
