

Born June 17, 1939, to parents Julius and Fannie Levin, She graduated from Landon High School, Jacksonville, FL. Elaine was employed by the Pediatric Group Moss, Pearlman, McCain, and Townsend as a pediatric assistant. Elaine was a positive force in sharing her care and love for children. She also spent time as a NICU cuddler and crocheted hats for babies. Beyond her professional and volunteer experience she was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is predeceased by her parents Julius and Fannie Levin, brother George Levin, sister Roselyn Levin Plotkin, and father of her children Kenneth P. Overstreet.
She is survived by her children Michael R. Overstreet (Elizabeth) and Steven M. Overstreet. Her 3 grandchildren, Jessica Bohn (Chris), Kyle Overstreet (Virginia), and Sean Overstreet. As well as her 3 great grandchildren Jazon, Julius, and Mick. Throughout her life Elaine was known for her love and compassion for children and most of all for the love of family. Elaine is remembered for her warmth of character, wisdom and unyielding support of those in need as well as her passion for quilting. She will be dearly missed yet remembered for her enduring impact on the lives of so many.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude's for Children.
A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, US, on September 16, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
