

Elinor was the only child of Lillian and Hyman Goodman, born in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Adelphi University in New York. Elinor met Dr. Jacob A. Glassman in Miami Beach, the paradise they and the family moved to after their post World War II Chicago home. Elinor was active in the Miami Jewish community, serving as president of the Women American ORT and Temple Israel Sisterhood.
She leaves behind her three children, Marsha Glaziere and Drs. Stuart and Dean Glassman, as well as their wives Barbara and Lisa. She had eight adoring grandchildren, Joshua, Maya, Jordan, Ariel, Sienna, Gabriella, Julian, and Jacob, as well as her great-granddaughter, Lillian. Elinor knew no sugar coating; she told it like it was. She will be missed. She had a long an adventurous life that no one would take away from her. She will continue to live on through her legacy and children.
Funeral Services will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in the Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel located at 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
