

DAVIS – Elizabeth Reynolds Davis, 97, passed away peacefully with her children by her side on August 12, 2017. She was born in Luverne, Alabama, the only child of Minnie and Wyatt Reynolds. She was a graduate of Montevallo College and married her high school sweetheart, Billy Davis. She moved to Jacksonville in 1953 with her husband and 2 children when he was transferred with ACL Railroad.
After raising her children, Mrs. Davis worked at State Farm Insurance for 15 years. In retirement she loved to travel, volunteered at Baptist Medical Center Auxiliary and her church where she loved singing in the Senior Choir. Mrs. Davis was a kind, gentle, caring and compassionate lady who loved her family and friends dearly and touched the lives of all who knew her. Words cannot express how much she will be missed.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Way (Dan); son, Wyatt (Paula); grandchildren, Todd (Jill), Haley, Hunter and Colby Davis; great grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Jake and Julia Bradford, Ethan and Lawson Davis; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minnie and Wyatt Reynolds; husband, M.W. (Billy) Davis; daughter, Carol Jean Davis; granddaughters, Lisa Bradford and Melissa Duncan; grandson, James Davis; and beloved cousin, Christine Pate.
Viewing will be Saturday, August 19, at 10 AM with service at 11 AM at Arlington United Methodist Church, 1400 University Blvd. N., with interment immediately following at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arlington United Methodist Church Senior Choir or the American Heart Association. Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd, 744-8422, is assisting the family with arrangements.
