Elizabeth Anne Mossbrooks

Elizabeth Anne (Betty to her New Jersey family and friends) was born on September 12th 1938 to Anne Corson (Nan) and Henry Edmond Corson (Bud) in the quaint town of Cape May Court House, NJ. Elizabeth graduated from Middle Township High School in 1956, valedictorian of her class.

After graduation, Elizabeth worked in the family business, Mossbrooks Golf later known as Mossbrooks Firestone, for over 37 years. She was passionate about helping others and loved what the family business did for the community. Many of their customers were life long and she was a respected member of her community.

In 1952, She met Robert N. Mossbrooks at Middle Township High School on a double date. Elizabeth and Robert went on to have 2 children, Steven and Terri Mossbrooks.

Elizabeth retired in 1996 after 37 in the family business. While retired, Elizabeth had time to pursue singing in the church choir, gardening, and helping support her extended family. She cherished her membership to the First United Methodist Church in New Jersey and the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville FL

Elizabeth was predeceased by her Mother Ann Corson and father Henry Edmond Corson (Bud). Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband Robert Mossbrooks, son Steven Mossbrooks, daughter Terri Mossbrooks, her 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth Murphy (Beth), Brianna Mossbrooks, Steven Chandler Mossbrooks, her sister Carol States, and brother George Corson.

A memorial service for Elizabeth will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
