Gathered here today, we find ourselves celebrating the wonderful life of Ellen Karen Bosco, who graced us with her presence from February 25, 1947, to March 10, 2025. Born in the bustling heart of New York, NY, Ellen’s journey was one filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering faith in the Lord. To know Ellen was to experience a joyful combination of affection, humor, and unyielding devotion. Her fun-loving spirit and penchant for being a little goofy added a special sparkle to every room she entered. Ellen's heart overflowed with compassion, mercy, and the kind of love that only someone who truly lives through Christ can embody. She was someone who constantly shared her rich testimony, spreading the love and teachings of Jesus to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Ellen’s life was an inspiring testament to the beauty of family and faith. Her parents’ coffee shop in the big city became her first stage for expressing her love for food. It was here that she cultivated skills and passions that would eventually blossom into remarkable accomplishments. With her daughter, Maria, and son-in-law Tommy by her side, she opened restaurants that became local favorites, where food and faith filled every corner of their establishments. But her creativity didn’t stop there. Ellen had an unparalleled flair for art and design, allowing her not just to decorate spaces but to light up lives. Beyond her professional accolades, Ellen's greatest prides were her daughters, Maria and Elaina . Her grandchildren, Briana, JonDavid, Logan, and Preston carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength. Ellen made it abundantly clear that living for her family and her Savior, Jesus Christ, was the essence of her existence. Her love was unending, nurturing, and a guiding light for both Maria and Elaina. Whether she was listening, laughing, or simply being present, Ellen had the power to transform ordinary moments into displays of divine grace. For Ellen, every day was lived as if it were her last, imbued with purpose and a quiet revelry for life. Her sincerity in living out the teachings of her faith was truly a testament to a life well-lived. As we gather to honor Ellen’s legacy, we invite family and friends to join us on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Cemetery located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. It will be a celebration of a life dedicated to love, laughter, and eternal faith. In closing, we reflect on Ellen’s favorite scripture: “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21). Ellen’s presence lives on in every heart she touched, every story she shared, and every kindness she bestowed. She has truly gained an eternal reward, resting peacefully in the arms of her Savior.
