Elsie Janice Nall

Elsie Janice Nichols Nall, 89, peacefully went to be with Jesus and her mother, father & son on Saturday, June 2, 2012. She was born November 22, 1922 in Bonifay, Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Grady & Annie Nichols; brother, John Nichols and sister, Glenell Nichols Hammond and son, John David “Johnny” Nall. She graduated from FSCJ and attended UNF. She also worked for the City of Jacksonville as an accountant and retired. She led an exemplary life and was loved by everyone she met. She loved people and had such compassion for those who were hurting. She was a shoulder to lean on and the rock you could always depend on. She is survived by her son, Richard Douglas Nall (Alice) and her daughter, Mary Patricia Nall Strickland (Danny). She was blessed with four grandchildren David Nall, Bryan Nall, Danny Strickland, Jr. Pamela Strickland Carter, whom she adore. She was also blessed with seven great grandchildren whom she adored: John David, Joseph, Justin, John Bryan, Dawson, Cameron and Kendall. We were blessed to have her in our lives and she will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in the chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, Fl. 32207 and the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
