Emma Lee Jones Brown was born to the late Lillie M. Jones Davenport on September 19, 1926 in the town of Morgan, Georgia. Both parents preceded her in death. She attended public school in Calhoun County,
GA and graduated High School in Shellman, GA.
In 1944 she was married to the late Willie Brown of Morgan, GA. In 1945 she and Willie relocated to Philadelphia, PA where she entered the garment industry. Born with gifted hands, she honed her skills from
the Chicago School of Dress Design and made a lifetime career.
Emma gave birth to two children; Roger Clinton and Andrea Marie. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 4, 1981. She was a member of the Oraton congregation in East Orange, NJ, and
later joined the South Congregation of Orange in Montclair, NJ. After moving to Jacksonville, FL in 2008, she joined the Mandarin Congregation.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Andrea; grandchildren Karla (Michael), and Amelia, great-grandchild Gabriele (Justin), and great-great-grandchild Magnolia Emily, along with cousins, nieces, and
beloved friends.
