I would like to tell the whole family how sorry I am about Aunt Jean.  I really got close to her when I lived in Florida as I had not had much contact with her since I was a little girl. I was so sorry that it was so long before I knew she was sick and I am glad I was able to get to see her and tell her bye on that Tuesday before she passed. She was such a fun person and I remember some of the things she told me about her life. My mother loved her like a sister and so did Aunt Evelyn.  I would have been at the funeral today, however I had to be in Atlanta and just got home.  Please know that all  of you will be in my prayers and if you ever had any doubt I can tell you that she loved all of you with all her heart as she always was talking about you.  BB you know you were very special to her.

Dannie, Davey Jo, and Family,

We wanted to express our deepest sorrow to all of you during this time. I know all of you are at a great loss and words could not express the grief we all feel. Over the years I have had to learn the hard way "Time is a healer of all things". This is so true and you all will get through this in time. Mourn your loss but never forget the fond memories we all had of Aunt Jean. She will be missed and loved by all who knew her.

I just remember being mesmerized by Aunt Jean. She was such a beautiful lady and had (2) gorgeous sons to boot. Who are still gorgeous, I might add. She had this quirky, sexy kind of laugh that I remember so well. I can almost hear that laugh now. Dannie has this same laugh. The last time I saw Aunt Jean was at Uncle Leonard's funeral. She was just as pretty then as she still was from the pictures shared in the photo gallery. All of the memories I have of Aunt Jean were when I was a little girl and we all lived on Broadway Ave. in Jacksonville. 

I wish you all well and hope to hear from you if and when you can. Much love and prayers to you all.

Dear Dannie, Davey Joe and Family,
To say that Aunt Jean was a special person to me is an understatement.  I remember the wonderful times spent with her when I was a child.  I remember the home she made for you in that little town (Dry Branch?) near Macon and what an adventure it always was to visit you there (and your wonderful collie).  She always made it great fun and adventurous for me...and I was just the little brat!  She always made me feel special.  She had a GREAT influence on my life.  I loved her always and still do even though the years and miles have separated us.  Take care in your love and memories.  She was a beautiful lady.

My mother, Nita, worked with Jean for  many years and remained friends for years.  My sister and I remember the good times we all had when we traveled with Jean to Biloxi on the "casino" bus. She was a special friend to us and will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss.  May God give you the strength needed to face the days ahead of you.  I remember many good times shared with Aunt Jean as a child here in Vidalia.  I remember one time I stayed with your family when my mother was in the hospital and Aunt Jean washed my hair which was blond at the time and put Clorox on it thinking it would make it more blond; I've thought about that many times and laughed...hair color has come a long way since then!
